As with all fic journals, here is my intro post. So hello, welcome, here is my fic journal /lame. My name is Ava, and I am seventeen years old, bisexual due to recent circumstances, probably the most awkward turtle on the face of the planet, and totally addicted to music. I am a total geek who loves epic movie trilogies – mainly Star Wars, the Lord of the Rings, and the Matrix – and I pretty much get all of my quotes from the movie Mean Girls (she doesn’t even go here!). I am also a bookworm and just got through all of Kurt Vonnegut’s novels and am now working on finishing all of John Updike’s and John Irving’s /nerdgasm.

Okay, so Supernatural Season 7 Episode 20? I LOVED IT. See? I bolded the font so it's perfectly clear how much I love this episode. Why, you may ask? Charlie Bradbury, the beautiful geek/nerd/hacker/genius. She's so cute, funny, dorky, nerdy, smart, and I love that she has a tattoo of Princess Leia in a slave bikini straddling a 20-sided die. And, she is a lesbian! OMG CAN SHE BE MORE PERFECT FOR ME?!?!

If I ever decide to get married, I wanna marry her!!!

Okay, well this is long overdue, and if I don't get it out of my system I will go to the kitchen counter, take out a knife, and stab my motherfucking hair to death. Or, in a nutshell, my obsession with short hair requires another obligatory short hair post. See my other one here.

Alright, so my hair as of now reaches just past my butt, and it is black, straight, and heavy as fuck hard to deal with. I have no bangs, my layers have finally grown out, and more often than not it is messy and just a pain in the ass to deal with. Okay, here are a few pics to give you an idea. My hair usually looks more like in the second photo - super messy and unkempt.

Okay, and what I want to do right now but can't, is to fucking chop it all off. I don't want to wake up in the morning and sigh that I don't own a hairbrush. I don't want to sit in a chair and have my hair get stuck in the little creases. And god forbid, I don't want to bike all across campus to my lesson and have my hair poof all over the place in front of my piano professor. Plus, on car rides, when I put my hair into a ponytail, I can't lean back and take a nap, which pisses me off every damn time.

And so, here are the haircuts that I hope to get in the near future. Very, very near future.

I have talked to my parents, my sisters, and my friends about this, and their reactions?


And I am like goddammit why. And all they can tell me is that I'll regret it, that short hair doesn't look good on Asian girls, and that my mom would never let me (which is true, but fuck that). I mean, they do have a point that I will look terrible with short hair - honestly, those models in the pictures above are stupidly pretty and are gorgeous enough to pull of any hairstyle - but I don't give a shit. I just want to have my hair dry faster.

Okay, it's out of my system! I can live another day with Rapunzel hair again!

Dying. I have my most stressful exam in a few hours. It's stressful because it's basically a piano recital in front of a panel of judges. And this panel includes my current professor and love interest, so fuck
